How to reach Lódz from the Okecie airport in Warsaw
By bus - Polski Express line is the most comfortable way of reaching Lódz. The Polski Express buses to Lódz leave airport at 7.20, 9.20, 11.20, 13.20, 15.20, 17.20, 19.20 every day and also at 21.20 on Sundays and Fridays only. They arrive at the city centre of Lódz, at bus station Lódz Fabryczna
By train - Trains to Lódz leave the Warszawa Centralna station at 5.05, 7.15 (except Sundays), 9.15, 11.15, 13.15, 15.15, 17.15, 19.15, 20.40. Trains arrive at the Lódz Fabryczna train station in the city center.
One-way tickets cost:
by bus - 15PLN
by train - 17PLN (second class)
From the airport in Kraków
By bus - Polski Express to Lódz leaves Kraków from Central Bus Station, (Worcella St.) at 6.30, 12.30, 17.30 and arrives at Lódz Fabryczna station.
By train - Trains to Lódz leave Kraków Glówny station at 8.27, 17.42 (arriving at Lódz Fabryczna station) and at 21.32, 1.47 (arriving at Lódz Kaliska station).
One-way tickets cost about 25PLN.
How to reach campus/QIRT’98
From the bus/train station Lódz Fabryczna - By bus No. 57, (bus stop is near the station, on the north side of Skladowa St.). Get off the bus at the Piotrkowska St., on the sixth stop after leaving the station. Then you must turn to the right in Czerwona St. and walk to the first crossroad. Turn right in Wólczanska St., walk about 200 meters until you will see QIRT’98 signs.
By tram - Take the tram No. 27 going west from the Narutowicza St. Get off at the sixth stop. On the right-hand side you will see Student Hostels and Guests Rooms. If you would like to reach QIRT'98, turn left to Radwanska St., turn right on the second crossroad and go along Wólczanska St. until you see QIRT'98 signs.
From Lódz Kaliska train station - After leaving the station walk across the main street. Take the bus No. 98 going east and leave on the next stop. Turn right and go along the Zeromskiego St. to the first crossroad. On the right-hand side you will see Student Hostels and Guests Rooms. If you would like to reach QIRT'98 turn left to Radwanska St., turn right on the second crossroad and go along Wólczanska St. until you will reach QIRT'98.
From Grand and Savoy Hotels - The most suitable approach will be to take a taxi or use the bus or tram as from Lódz Fabryczna train station.
From Hotel Mazowiecki - The most suitable choice will be to take a taxi.
From Guest and Conference Center of the University of Lódz - Take the tram No. 27 going west from Narutowicza St. and get off on ninth stop. On the right-hand side you will see Student Hostels and Guests Rooms. If you would like to reach QIRT'98, turn left to Radwanska St., turn right on the second crossroad and go along Wólczanska St. until you reach QIRT'98.
Tram tickets in Lodz for half an hour cost 1,4PLN and are available in the tobacco kiosks.
