It is our great pleasure to welcome you to the QIRT’98 Seminar and to the Technical University of Lódz in Poland. The main objective of our meeting is to bring together scientists, professionals and industry partners working with or interested in thermography from all over the world. For the first time QIRT is organised in Central Europe that we think will bring the impulse to start closer dialogue and co-operation between partners from all our countries. We have almost 100 papers accepted for presentation. The extended poster session allowed us to invite more participants from Central and Eastern Europe to enlarge the community of thermography specialists and enthusiasts.
